This Privacy Policy explains how the How Are We Related? mobile app handles information. This policy applies to the iOS and Android versions of the app.

We do not collect personal information through the app. The app does not require account registration, does not request your name or email address, and does not ask for access to contacts, photos, location, camera, microphone, calendar, or health data.
The relationship choices you make in the calculator are used on your device to show a result. They are not sent to us and are not stored in an account.
How the App Works
The app calculates family relationship labels from the options you select. This calculation happens locally on your device.
App Updates and Technical Data
The app may use Expo Application Services to check for and download app updates. When update checks happen, Expo may process limited technical information needed to deliver the correct update, such as app version, platform, runtime version, and device or request metadata. This information is used to provide app updates and maintain app reliability.
Analytics and Advertising
We do not use third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or tracking tools in the app.
Data Sharing
We do not sell personal information. Because the app does not collect personal information through the calculator, we do not share calculator inputs or relationship results with third parties.
Technical update services may be provided by Expo Application Services as described above.
Data Retention
We do not maintain a user account database for this app. Relationship selections are used temporarily in the app interface and can be cleared by resetting the app flow or closing the app.
Children's Privacy
The app is a general-audience utility and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your Choices
You can stop using the app at any time and uninstall it from your device. Since the app does not maintain an account or collect calculator inputs on our servers, there is no account data to delete.
